2018 Nissan LEAF EV Dials Up Style, Range, and Nerd Status

As you might have heard, the 2018 Nissan LEAF will arrive all-new for 2018. After a long wait, it’s finally debuted, with fresh styling and technology that will make any tech nerd feel right at home. With features like one pedal driving through e-Pedal technology, and ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving, the LEAF hasn’t one-upped itself, but also promises a revolutionary experience.

Range is important for any EV owner, and Nissan has done much to put range anxiety to rest. The new model will house a 40 kWh battery with 150 miles of driving range (up from 107), with an e-Plus version with a 60 kWh unit and 225 miles to arrive next year. Also new is ProPilot Assist, a semi-autonomous function that helps with steering, acceleration, and braking, and a ProPilot Park system that will arrive later. Although more upscale in look and feel than the outgoing model, we’re told the starting price will be less than the current model.

Those who enjoy driving with no emissions will love what the new LEAF brings to the table. When it arrives early next year, we’d be more than happy to let you take one for a spin! Contact our Nissan dealership in Clinton, IA to let us know that you’re interested.
